At 8.00 p.m. January 30, the Miss America 2010 - an expectative program of the United States - will be broadcasted at Theatre for the performing Arts in Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino in Las Vegas.
Miss American 2010 is the 89th Miss America Pageant with the host of actor Mario Lopez. Judges of the contest will be radio host Rush Limbaugh, Actress Vivica Fox, gymnast Shawn Johnson, ex-Miss America Katie Harman and musician Dave Koz.
This year, 53 contestants come from 50 different states of the U.S. including three from District of Columbia, Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico. Like previous programs, Miss America 2010 also has 3 parts swimsuit, evening gown, and talent categories. Contestants selected from these three will join in the final interview. The 53 contestants in night 30 were the successful candidates in previous 3 rounds in 3 nights.

Miss America first took place on September 8, 1921 as a two-day beauty contest in Atlantic City, New Jersey. Vanessa Williams was crowned as the winner of the first Miss America in that contest. Miss America was first called beauty contest. It began in Atlantic City, New Jersey and was then held each year until 2004. From 2005, the contest changed its place of performing to Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino in Las Vegas.
